NimbleX a small, versatile OS June 16, 2008
NimbleX is small but extremely well developed operating system. Based on Slackware and live scripts, this tiny OS has the enormous advantage of the fact that it can be carried around on USB Flash memory sticks or other USB portable media devices, CDs (even small 8 cm CDs). I got in my thumb drive. Actaully the application has got two packages. The 69 Mb package comes without the multimedia and GTK support. I had copied that package on to my pen drive. The standard package includes lots of useful applications, from word processor to basic server functions. You don’t need to install this OS on your machine. You can use it directly. With this OS you can also access a local area network and share files, as well as browse through shared resources. Accessibility options are included as well as the possibility to apply regional settings for your country and security features. So totally this is a very good OS with very small size.
