T-Mobile G1 November 28, 2008

T-Mobile’s G1, aka the HTC Dream, has been leaked out of Google from an unnamed internal source at Google. T-Mobile’s G1 was been used as a primary handset by a tester.

It has been confirmed that the handset appears quite close to the Sidekick when used in horizontal mode with the QWERTY keyboard. It has also revealed the proportionality that had been so far missing. This time G1 fails to look as massive as some of the early leaked shots might have suggested.

It is still not quite clear whether the pronounced “chin” section gets in the way of typing (Sidekicks which usually have a bevelled edge on either side of the keyboard, while on the G1 it is blunter). But certainly this is confirmed that the device is good enough to be used as a sole handset.
